We strongly believe that the first steps in creating a new product are what determine its final success: for this reason, each project is developed by a dedicated team and is co-designed and engineered with the customer and suppliers.

Co-Design

The starting point of each project is listening to the customer, which translates into a deep analysis of the product, its necessities/criticalities and the production process.

We support the customer and his technicians by engineering his ideas, co-designing the component and realizing the design of the prototype defining shapes, details and finishes.

At this stage, we already evaluate all implications related to the moulding process, the co-moulding/ overmolding’s needs, the assembly methods and secondary processes that can affect the geometries and characteristics of the product, proceeding with the customer to a first 3D modeling of the product.

Engineering

The engineering phase allows us to transform the first product design in a definitive 3D project that will serve during the costruction of the injection mould.

Thanks to our expertise and the collaboration with specialized laboratories, we provide all necessary information to determine the right material to produce high-performace, technical and functional products that suit the customer’s needs and regulations.

Once the aesthetic aspects, the functional features and the materials are defined, we focus the analisys on designing of the product depending on the production processes.

We revisit the component in order to make its manufacturing (moulding and post-processing) and final assembly more efficient and easier. We also establish whether the design complies with the technological systems of the various production departments.

We carry out FEM analyses in order to verify the response of the component to mechanical stress and to optimize its resistance and integrity.

We carry out moldflow analysis to simulate the injection moulding process of the plastic component to make sure to obtain technically performing products without aesthetic defects.

Thanks to these simulations we are able to complete the optimization of the design of the plastic component, anticipating all problems related to the subsequent steps of the mould engineering.

Once the ideal model of the component is achieved, we proceed with its drafting and the validation of all the design specifications with the customer.
At the end of the design review and only after the customer’s approval of the project, we move to the construction of the mould.

Engineering

Prototyping

A key tool for an effective industrialization process of the component.

Through the realization of 3D prototypes, obtained with materials and technologies that simulate the printed component, it is possible to test the desired part before the construction of the mould. It is therefore possible to verify and easily solve any designing issue that may not have been visible in the 3D drawings.
